Céline Dion Shares Heartfelt Tribute to Her 92-Year-Old Mom Thérèse Who Is Also a Musician

In celebration of Mother's day, Céline Dion took to Instagram to pay tribute to her soulful singer mother.

In commemoration of the widely celebrated special day, the veteran singer posted a picture of herself and her 92-year-old mother, Thérèse Tanguay Dion. Both women are pictured standing with the svelte beauty crouching a bit low to lean into her mamma.

Despite being well over her prime, Therese looked very youthful, standing proudly beside her world-famous daughter. She is outfitted in a black on black ensemble with a red top giving the perfect accent to the otherwise basic look.

She wore the red floral shirt beneath her black see-through jacket, which she paired with black pants. She is the picture of perfect health with her silver-grey hair giving her a distinct look.

Céline appears in an all-black ensemble which seems coordinated to her mother's. Both women bear a striking resemblance to each other with the “I Drove All Night” singer looking like a much more youthful version of Thérèse.

It sure looks like the age-defying beauty runs in the family as Celine looked so stunning that it makes it hard to believe she is over 50 and a mother of twins.

Well aware of the importance of a mother, being one herself, Céline captioned the picture in a tone of reverence and love. It reads:⁣⁣

“Now more than ever, I realize the importance of a mother’s role. Not only did you give me life, but you also wrote my destiny. I love you, Mom. – Celine xx…”

Céline, who made her singing debut thanks to a song co-written by Thérèse, is known to be particularly fond of her mother. Céline inherited her fantastic singing talents from the French-Canadian beauty. The mother-daughter pair once performed a duet together, and their perfect skills left the audience awestruck.

They made a rare sight as they sang their hearts out to honor Thérèse’s 91st birthday last year, 2018. As always, Céline took to social media to post stills from the performance and captioned with a heartfelt message dedicated to Therese. It reads:

“Happy Birthday, Mom! You are an infinite source of comfort and inspiration. I love you, Céline.”

Asides the stunning looks and singing talents, Céline also gets her kind heart from Thérèse who is well known for her charitable works. Early 2006, she founded the Maman Dion Foundation, a non-profitable organization created to provide school supplies and clothing to underprivileged children in Quebec.
