‘Counting on’ Stars Josiah and Lauren Duggar Announce They Are Expecting a Baby

Josiah and Lauren Duggar, the couple best known for their regular appearances in “Counting On,” revealed on social media that they are expecting a baby.

The announcement shocked their followers, especially because it has been only a few months since they revealed Lauren had a miscarriage in 2018.

In the first pic of the three-image slideshow shared on their joined Instagram account, Josiah is portrayed wearing khaki pants and a blue shirt while hugging his wife, Lauren, from her back. The lady opted for a beautiful, yellow dress with a floral design. There was also a balloon behind them.

For the second image, the couple is holding the ultrasound photo while Josiah kisses Lauren on her temple, and she smiles at the camera. The final picture is similar to the previous one but, instead of the ultrasound, they are holding a sign that reads: “Rainbow After the Storm” and “Baby #2.”

In the caption, the couple wrote:

“We are so excited to announce that baby #2 is on the way!!!! It’s hard to fully express just how grateful we are for God blessing us again with another precious gift! So, as we rejoice of the life of our second sweet baby, we also remember (balloon as symbolism) our other sweet baby, Asa, in heaven. God is so incredibly good!”

Lauren, 20, suffered a miscarriage in October 2018. During an episode of “Counting On,” she revealed that she was “cramping really, really bad, which was quite strange because I normally don’t.” Later, when she used the bathroom, she realized that the baby was gone.

Now, they are thrilled about their bundle of joy and, in a statement released to People, they confessed:

“God’s faithfulness to us in our most difficult moments has sustained us and brought us such love and comfort. We cannot begin to tell you how much we are looking forward to holding this baby in our arms this fall.”
