A mother wrote a heartbreaking open letter to her husband’s other woman, saying their daughter was left with questions.

“Why did the woman take daddy away?” she recalled her daughter asking, as reported by MSN.

“I’d rather spend my time looking for someone else. A meaningful relationship rather than be used as an ego boost.”

The mother said her husband was a good husband and father before the “other woman” came to his life. He met the woman at work.

She wrote: “I just need to understand the reasoning behind having an affair with a taken/married man? In the middle of a break-up and I’ve had 10-year-old daughter ask, ‘Why did the woman take daddy away?’ Such an innocent yet poignant question… please, for anyone that has been the ow (other woman) explain what you get out of it?”

She said that her husband was always by her side. “We went out and drank together. Had the odd date night, holidays,” she wrote.

She added, “I’d rather spend my time looking for someone else. A meaningful relationship rather than be used as an ego boost.”

But some readers of her open letter told her to pin the blame on her husband, not on his mistress.

One user wrote: “Another woman did not take Daddy away. Life isn’t like that. Daddy left. He left. HE left – no one took him.”

Another user said the wife’s anger is misdirected, writing, “Where’s your letter to your partner? The other woman is not blameless, but she did not take him away. He willingly cheated and left.”

Not all scorned wives write an open letter. Others decide to take the matter into her own hands. In northern China, a wife beat her husband's mistress and even called him in the middle of assault to come and watch it.
