Marlon Wayans Pens Emotional Message to Daughter Amai as She Turns 19

Marlon Wayans' daughter Amai just turned 19, and the proud dad made sure to share an emotional message for her to the rest of his fans and followers.

There's nothing else that fills Marlon Wayans with so much love and joy but his children, and he made sure to prove that with an open letter he wrote to his daughter, his first-born child. It was full of emotion and just so pure, that it garnered hundreds of thousands of likes in just a couple of days.

Happy birthday to my pride, my heart, my love, my soul, my mini-me, my inspiration, my moral compass, my sweet loving, romantic, kind hearted, intelligent, talented, soulful, conscious, angelic, beautiful daughter."

Marlon then proceeded to reminisce about the days when she wasn't even born yet, wherein he would talk to her and take care of her while she was in her mom's womb.

“I have loved you before you were even here,” he added. “I rubbed you in your mommy’s belly, I read to you, I talked to you, I kissed you, I cuddled you, I loved you. I remember [when] your head crowned all I saw was a full head of black curly hair and I began to cry like a baby. May 24, 2000, I pulled you from your mother’s womb, I held you in my arms and my world changed.”

Finding His Purpose

He continued his tear-jerking tribute by saying how much his life changed when he became a father, saying he lived not just for himself from that moment forward. It was his daughter that taught him to live a life for others, and that's what motivated him to work extra hard.

"My purpose shifted. I no longer lived for me … I lived for you, for my family, for us. You gave me purpose. You made me tender, you made me communicate, you made me humble, you made me attentive, you made me listen, you made me grow up.”

Wayans ended his message by affirming his daughter of how great she is, which for sure left his daughter in tears once she's read the sweet and compelling message from her dad.

"You're heaven sent. An amazing child. You made me love unconditionally and most of all you accept and love me unconditionally for all my flaws... I can't be no more proud of you than I already am. Never change. Just keep evolving."

Marlon has always been good with words, and he's always been affectionate to the people he cares about. Last year, he also shared a lengthy message for the mother of his kids on social media.

His Ode to Angelica

Although Angelica Zachary and Marlon Wayans split in 2013 following the actor's cheating incident, the two have remained friends. In fact, Marlon has always been vocal about his ex-wife on social media, even writing a tribute for their 25th anniversary of knowing each other.

“Have you ever loved somebody 25 years plus? Through ups and downs, smiles and tears, joy and pain... love remains. What an incredible woman you are and I will always celebrate the day I met you. Thank you for loving me.you’re an amazing mommy and a great friend. There’ll never be a day I don’t love you.”

Of course, the "Marlon" actor continued to hype his ex-wife up, calling her different qualities and how these want to make him a better person.

"I used to beat myself for failing us. But I realize that it's all part of the journey. Love has to be tested, love has to be challenged, love is work, love is struggle, love is not a feeling it's a responsibility. Love is unconditional and love must remain. I'm glad this love has been water and taking on many shapes... but it's always love. He loves her always... wanna [bet]?"
