LeToya Luckett Is All Smiles with Her Beautiful Family in Heartwarming Photo

LeToya Luckett is over the moon with her little family, and she can’t stop gushing about them on social media. On Memorial Day, the singer and reality star shared a lovely family pic with her husband, daughter, and daughter-in-love.

The former Destiny’s Child member is basking on the joys of motherhood and marriage, and she has never looked happier, according to her die-hard fans.

On Memorial Day, LeToya took to Instagram to share a set of adorable pics with husband Tommicus Walker, his daughter Madison, and their 4-month-old daughter Gianna Iman.

In the pics, Luckett donned red pants, a white sleeveless shirt, denim cap, and golden hoop earrings; while baby Gianna rocked a red skirt, a striped top with red flowers on it, silver shoes and a white headband with a bow on it.

Tommicus also opted for a white t-shirt with black details on neck and sleeves, and Madison rocked a mint green shirt, unicorn headband, and colored sunglasses.

“Memorial Day fun with my fam! I hope you guys are watching us on Tonight’s episode of @familyhustle on @vh1,” Luckett captioned the pic.

KEEPING HER MAN OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT

LeToya has gone through the most significant changes in her life in the past three years.

She kept her relationship with Tommy out of the spotlight as they started to know each other, and only announced it to the world when he put a ring on her finger in August 2017.

“He gets me, but he sees Toya. And that’s what I’ve always wanted,” LeToya admitted.

“I feel it’s very important to build your foundation first before sharing your relationship with the world,” Luckett explained to Essence of her decision to keep the relationship as a secret back then.

And added:

“I felt that it was important to get to know each other without any distractions or any he-said-she-said. I wanted to do something different with this relationship because I felt something different about him.”

And she was right. After all, the couple’s love story is genuinely out of a fairytale.

THE START OF THEIR STORY

It all started when LeToya made an appearance on OWN’s “The Book Of John Gray,” where she opened up to Pastor John Gray about her struggles to find love after her last failed relationship. On the show, Gray told Luckett that her husband was coming.

A few months later, LeToya was at a friend’s wedding when she struck a conversation with longtime friend and designer Nikki Chu. After the topic of love came up, Chu talked to LeToya about her boyfriend’s brother, as she believed they would be a great match.

“I thought, oh, he sounds amazing – a man of God, a good father – and I trusted her because she’d really gotten to know him over a few years,” Luckett explained.

She gave Chu the green light to pass her number to the man, but with one condition: she couldn’t reveal LeToya’s full name or the fact she was famous.

GETTING TO KNOW THE ONE

Eventually, Tommy and LeToya started texting, and they hit it off.

“We started talking and laughing. He’s from Texas just like me,” Luckett recalled. “Talking to him felt like being home again. We talked for a few weeks, and he still didn’t know what I looked like or my full name or anything like that.”

They bonded over their faith, and when they finally met in person, Tommy didn’t recognize LeToya. If it weren’t for her friend Eudoxie Bridges—Ludacris’ wife— maybe it would have taken Tommy a bit of time to find out the truth.

Eudoxie called LeToya on Facetime and asked, “Does he know who you are now?” which prompted Luckett to reveal her identity.

Tommy admitted to having a crush on her back in high school. “Then he said to me, ‘None of that matters because I’ve gotten to know you and to see your heart and that’s what I’m into, and so that doesn’t change nothing we got going on right now,” Luckett shared.

On their second date, Tommy brought his daughter along, and by that point, LeToya was utterly smitten with him.

“He gets me, but he sees Toya. And that’s what I’ve always wanted,” LeToya admitted.

And continued:

“I’d say, ‘God, whoever you have for me, I want them to see me. I want them to see my heart. I want them to see me crystal clear in their eyes the way you see me in yours.’ And, he sees me. And there’s no better feeling.”

The couple has a harmonious relationship with Madison’s mother, and LeToya calls the girl her “daughter-in-love” making sure to give the girl the same love and support baby Gianna gets from her.
