JLo’s Fiancé Alex Rodriguez Dreamed about Dating Her 20 Years Ago (Video)

Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are one of the most adorable couples of Hollywood. It is pretty evident that Rodriguez adores his fiancée with all his heart, but what most of their fans might not know is that he dreamed of dating the pop queen years before they knew one another.

Arod always knew who his dream woman was long before he even met her. In a footage from 1998, the former professional baseball shortstop and third baseman shared that JLo would be his perfect dream date.

“Hopefully you can find me a date with her,” the then Mariners shortstop said.

Seems as though they were always meant to be together! Previously, the retired Yankees star took to Instagram to share a framed headshot of Jennifer. The “Jenny From The Block” singer signed the photography almost 20 years ago when they met for the very first time.

“#TBT to almost 20 years ago when a big-time global pop superstar signed a pic for a young ballplayer #lifecanbeafunnythingsometimes #keepsake #jlo,” he wrote.

JLo and Arod announced the news of their engagement on March 9 while they were on a vacation at the Bahamas, two years after they started dating.

In an episode of the Ellen DeGeneres show, JLo revealed that she approached Rodriguez when he passed by her which she was having lunch somewhere.

“I was having lunch somewhere and I saw him as he passed by,” Jennifer told Ellen. “Afterwards, I went outside, and for some reason, I felt like tapping him on the shoulder."

Although she made the first move, it was Rodriguez who asked her out to dinner later on when they started talking.

The couple has been going strong ever since. We can’t wait for their big day!
