Just a couple of hours before he was pronounced dead, his son defended him from media outlets that stated he was dead before he even passed away. While his chances were slim, they were still holding on to the bit of faith they had and made the most out of their time together.
On his Instagram a couple of hours before his death, his son decided to slam all the people who announced his death before he passed, saying that everything was inaccurately posted.
"Contrary to what has been prematurely, insensitively, and inaccurately posted/reported - my dad is NOT dead, he's still alive and fighting for his life. He needs your continued prayers and support."
Capitalizing the situation
His son added that people have been quick to capitalize over their situation, which is not at all entertaining for them, as they were trying to keep their dad alive.
"Certain people have been quick to write him off as dead so they can capitalize off it, and it's messed up because y'all really think these people care about him. There is no Geto Boys without Bushwick Bill. [...] On behalf of the family we're requesting privacy until furhter notice."
Now that the news is true that Bushwick Bill has passed away, his family ultimately requested privacy during these moments, so that they may focus on grieving the loss of their loved one.
