The photo would be just another lovely mother-son duo picture but for Blair’s emotional caption. It is perhaps what got the attention of her massive fan following as she expressed great pride and love for the growing boy.

Alongside a string of hashtags, including a “#childrengetolderandimgettingoldertoo,” and two heart emoticons, Blair wrote:

“To my son on his last day of first grade. I will hold your hand; I will help hold the light for you. I will lift you up if ever you need me. You are my favorite person and have taught me everything I know about love. I am so proud of who you are. I can’t wait to reach for your hand. And you will be right here. Soon. Soon. Always, your mom. You are a wonderful person.”

Her sweet display had fans taking to the comments section to share similar experiences being parents and so far, the photo has amassed well over 80k likes.

Little Arthur is Blair’s only child and the product of her short-lived relationship with fashion designer Jason Bleick. The 46-year-old star, who is suffering from multiple sclerosis, never tires of talking about parenting as she watches Arthur grow.

The collage picture won't be the first photo of herself and Arthur but is a very special one as it captures Arthur's growth right from when he was just a baby to now that he will soon clock 8.

The youngster shares a particularly excellent relationship with his “Cruel Intentions” mother. Blair even once revealed in an interview with Robin Roberts on “Good Morning America” that unlike many would do, she made sure he was aware of her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.

“After the MRI, I said, ‘I have something called multiple sclerosis,’ and he almost cried and said, ‘Will it kill you?’ And I said, ‘No. I mean, we never know what kills us, Arthur. But this is not the doctor telling me I’m dying,’ and he was like, ‘Oh. Okay!’”

Since revealing she has the incurable disease, the stunning actress has made sure to share and treasure every moment she spends with Arthur openly. She said:

“I always want him to feel safe, never responsible for me.”

Blair and Arthur make such a beautiful pair too. Who can forget their twinning outfits at the 26th annual Race to Erase MS gala last month? It was there she proudly stated on stage that “her son is the reason for everything.”
