The Joke That Made Princess Love Flip off Camera at MTV Movie & TV Awards

Princess Love was evidently dismayed during the MTV Movie and Video Awards and her reaction has now gone viral. She responded to a joke by the show's host that dug up her husband Ray J's scandalous past with Kim Kardashian.

Princess Love didn’t appreciate a joke during the MTV Movie and TV Awards referring to her husband Ray J’s scandalous past. If you recall, he was involved in a sex tape with Kim Kardashian some 16 years ago and somehow, the show’s host Zachary Levi managed to slip that into his spiel.

THE CONTROVERSIAL JOKE

Sitting in the audience of the awards show, Princess let it known that she disapproved in a video that’s now gone viral. Zachary was citing names from the audience including Sandra Bullock when he chanced at Ray J among the crowd.

“And of course, America’s other sweetheart Ray J, from “Love & Hip Hop,” is here,” he acknowledged. And while that would have been enough, he proceeded by unearthing Ray J’s controversial past with Kim by making a joke out of it. He added,

“Although I’m sure some of you are more familiar with his work as a cameraman.”

Ray J and Kim dated on and off between 2003 and 2006. The sex tape which was made around 2003 was leaked after the couple split.

THE CONTROVERSIAL REACTION

Ray J’s reaction was to be stone-faced while his wife beside him flipped two middle fingers at the camera that was focused on them. She did that with a smile but we’re certain it was to hide her annoyance seething beneath.

The last time the reality star [Kim] spoke of it was briefly in January during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live." When show host, Andy Cohen asked her what she would tell her children about the tape, she said she would just be totally honest with them about it.

Even the audience noticed the bad joke and groaned. This prompted Zachary to explain, “I had to. I’m sorry it was collectively a great idea.”

Fans of the couple tweeted their dismay over Zachary’s comment.

“Did not have to shade Ray J like that,” one wrote while another questioned, “why he do that to Ray J.”

“I did ecstasy once and got married. Then I did it again and made a sex tape.”

Meanwhile, we don’t think Kim would be addressing this incident considering the controversial tape was from long, long ago, before she rose to fame on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians and way before her husband Kanye West and their four children.

The last time the reality star spoke of it was briefly in January during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.” When show host, Andy Cohen asked her what she would tell her children about the tape, she said she would just be totally honest with them about it.

A year earlier, she also attributed the tape to ecstasy, the same reason she claims she married Damon Thomas on a whim in 2000.

“I did ecstasy once and got married. Then I did it again and made a sex tape,” she said in a November 2018 episode of her family’s show.

THE CONTROVERSIAL RELATIONSHIP

Ray J and Kim dated on and off between 2003 and 2006. The sex tape which was made around 2003 was leaked after the couple split. The singer denied leaking it, though Kim has labeled him a “pathological liar” in the more recent past.

She said this after Ray J allegedly spilled details about their sex life to a publication which placed Kim in a bad light. Ray J again denied doing this but Kim’s opinion of him hasn’t changed. He admitted he’s not the same guy from their past and has no intentions of revisiting that time. He says his focus now is his wife and daughter.
