Fans of “19 Kids and Counting” and “Counting On” were thrilled after one of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s daughters, Jessa, got married in November 2014. However, not everybody is aware of her life, children, and income after she tied the knot.

One of the most remarkable characteristics of the Duggar family is its size. In total, there are 19 children born between 1988 and 2009. One of those children is Jessa.

Jessa Duggar, born on November 4, 1992, is Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s fifth child. The 26-year-old TV personality is one of the most famous members of the family and, at the moment, has more than 2.1 million followers on Instagram.

COURTING WITH BEN SEEWALD

On September 16, 2013, the Duggar family blog announced that Jessa, who was 20 years old at the time, was in a courtship with a man named Ben Seewald, who was 18 and lived in a town located almost four hours away from the Duggars’ home.

Jim Bob pointed out that he admired Ben’s character and his ministry focus, adding his thoughts on the relationship of the pair, who met each other at church.

“When a guy is pursuing your daughter, you want to check him out and see if there are any red flags and with Ben, there hasn’t been. He is very sharp. It appears like a match made in heaven,” Jim Bob told People.

Just as most members of the family, Jessa and Ben chose to limit their physical contact as little as possible, exchanging only side hugs for greetings and goodbyes. Kissing was off limits as they were saving it for marriage.

GETTING MARRIED

After courting for 11 months, the couple announced that they had gotten engaged. To celebrate their eleventh month together, Ben got Jessa a pearl bracelet and also a handwritten note with a very romantic message on it.

"What good are such beautiful pearls if not to have the grace of being worn by one so elegant and majestic as yourself? These pearls were lonely… just like I am when we're apart; but not anymore! I love you my precious princess!" read the note.

On November 1, 2014, the “Counting On” star said “I do” at the First Baptist Church in Bentonville, Arkansas, and became Jessa Seewald.

One of the most impressive aspects of the nuptials is that more than 1,000 people were present. Another fact that surprised several people, especially the audience, is that Jessa and Ben decided to keep their first kiss private.

WELCOMING THEIR FIRST CHILD

Ben and Jessa Seewald’s first son, Spurgeon Elliot, was born on November 5, 2015. He was named after Baptist preacher Charles Spurgeon and Christian missionary Jim Elliot, reported People.

After a 48-hour labor, Spurgeon finally was born weighing 9 lbs. 11 oz. and measuring 21 ½ inches long. Nowadays, the boy is three years old and usually captivates everybody when he poses with his parents on social media.

INTRODUCING THEIR SECOND CHILD TO THE WORLD

On February 6, 2017, Jessa gave birth to her second child, a boy named Henry Wilberforce Seewald. Just like his big brother, his name was chosen to honor important people in history.

According to People, the pair chose “Henry” mostly because Jessa liked it, and Wilberforce due to William Wilberforce, who was an English politician and philanthropist in favor of putting an end to the slave trade. At the moment, Henry is two and is thrilled with his new role as big brother.

ENLARGING THE FAMILY ONCE AGAIN

On May 26, 2019, the couple welcomed their third child to the world, a girl named Ivy Jane Seewald. In their blog, Jessa and Ben shared that they were getting ready to go to church when Jessa’s water broke.

The proud mother pointed out that the baby, born at home, weighed 7lbs 14oz and was 20 1/2 inches long, which she considered “tiny” compared to her previous children who weighed almost 9 and 10 pounds at birth.

BEN AND JESSA SEEWALD’S SOURCES OF INCOME

With a continually growing family, several people have wondered how the couple manages to take care of all of them in terms of money. Ben studied Political Science and graduated from National Park College in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 2015, about six months after tying the knot.

According to the couple’s blog, Ben is currently studying at Moody Bible Institute and, based on the photos of the books he has posted on Instagram, he is likely to be studying to become a pastor.

As for his job, In Touch Weekly reported that he has worked for Jim Bob and has also done construction gigs. However, he is supposedly unemployed.

On the other hand, the Duggar kids have allegedly earned about $1.2 million since 2015, although it’s unknown how they split the money.

MAKING MONEY WITH INSTAGRAM

Even though Jessa has denied it, some of her followers have noticed that she has been sharing some sponsored posts on Instagram. While her family has chosen to “promote” food and restaurants, Jessa has opted for doing the same with fashion.

At the moment, neither Jessa nor Ben have officially revealed what they do for a living, but one thing is clear: they are having a wonderful time with their three babies!
