Jenna Bush Hager Reveals Her Breasts Turned 'Green' After Going 'Topless'

The television personality stirred laughter and surprise when she recounted a sizzling beach day gone sideways.

On June 17, 2025, during a conversation with guest co-host Leslie Bibb on "Today with Jenna & Friends," Jenna Bush Hager recounted a past beach experience where sunbathing topless led to an unexpected and alarming change in her skin's appearance.

Their exchange was posted on the show's Instagram account, and according to the caption, it was inspired by Gwyneth Paltrow, who posted a video of herself cooking breakfast topless a few days earlier.

Jenna kicked off the discussion by asking Leslie, "Have you ever topless laid [sic] in the sun, like back in the early aughts?" The question led to several personal stories, beginning with Leslie's memory of her mother, Betty Bibb, sunbathing nude right outside their house.

"She would lay [sic] out naked as a jaybird on our deck in Nelson County," the actress recalled. Despite her protests as a child, Leslie said her mother would simply laugh it off, fully oiled up, and urge her daughter to "get with it."

Jenna then shared her own tale, admitting she once visited a topless beach. The experience, however, had some curious consequences. She said she got so badly burned that the skin of her chest peeled and took on an alarming hue.

"They may have turned green," she said, referring to her breasts. While Leslie showed a shocked reaction, Jenna continued, "The opposite of the color wheel."

Finally, the actress was able to ask, "They turned green? Are you for real life?" Jenna nodded with a tight-lipped grin, and Leslie shook her head, adding, "Oh, I don't think that's good."
