Tristan Thompson Ordered to Pay $40k Monthly Child Support to Ex Jordan Craig: Report

Tristan Thompson is now required to pay a whopping $40,000 in child support to his ex-girlfriend Jordan Craig, whom he shares 2-year-old son Prince with.

Craig, 27, brought the whole ordeal to court when she realized that the $15,000 per month that the Cleveland Cavalier player was paying was below the California child support guidelines. She ultimately won this case, and a judge ordered Thompson to pay $200,000 in retroactive child support, which needed to be paid 10 business days after the completion of the case.

Tristan now also needs to pay $40,000 per month on child support, which will continue until Prince turns 18, or until he graduates from high school.

As to why Jordan believed $15,000 was way too small for child support, she previously said it's because she wanted her son to be able to experience the same lifestyle that his other child, True, is currently experiencing. She adds that if only Tristan participated more in her son's life, he'd be able to eat in expensive restaurants, go on safari trips, and enjoy other privileges that come with being the son of a well-off basketball star.

In court, Craig argued:

“On Tristan’s spreadsheets, it looks like he’s frequenting Nobu and several top-rate restaurants — Craig’s in Los Angeles. My child should share in the same lifestyle.”

Aside from the monthly support, Craig also won another $1250 per month for her child's savings plan, $2000 a month for his private tutor, and a one-time payment of $10,000 to pay off her medical bills from when she gave birth.

According to Jordan, she experienced pregnancy complications when she found out that Thompson was cheating on her with Khloe Kardashian while she was pregnant.

Throughout the whole Khloe, Tristan, and Jordyn debacle, Jordan kept quiet. However, now that she's fighting for a better life for her son, she didn't hold back in sharing new information about how the cheating scandal has affected her and her child.

A Sudden Betrayal

It turns out, Tristan wanted them to have a child and encouraged her to take necessary steps to make sure they'd be able to conceive. However, when they were finally pregnant, Tristan broke things off just a month along the way. The baller went so far as to lie about his on-going relationship with Khloe, saying he didn't know her despite all the photos circulating in the media.

Jordan dated Tristan for two years before getting pregnant in April 2016, which was when he decided to call it quits. A couple of months later, Khloe and Tristan went public with their relationship.

Now, thanks to yet another scandal, Khloe and Jordan are forced to raise their children with a less hands-on father figure, while Tristan pays the bills for his kids' child support fees.
