'The View's Sunny Hostin Calls out RHONY's Bethenny Frankel for Yelling at Her Child

Sunny Hostin and Bethenny Frankel are currently at war over an alleged yelling incident on the beach involving the former's children. The talk show host deemed Frankel a liar while the reality star had a bolder accusation against Hostin.

“Defamation ain’t cute” was the message Sunny Hostin had for Bethenny Frankel in response to the latter’s recent claims against her. Hostin accused Betheny of yelling at her kids and Frankel responded by implying the talk show host was on drugs.

WHAT STARTED THE FEUD

Last week saw a feud brewing between Hostin and Frankel. The co-host of “The View called out the “Real Housewives of New York” star on her show over an alleged incident involving her children at the beach.

According to Hostin on the June 13 episode of her ABC show, Frankel yelled at her children.

"Bethenny yelled at my child on the beach... She said that her child was napping inside with the window open and that our children were being too loud on the beach.” Hostin added, “I yelled at her and told her that adults speak to adults."

“I don’t know…I think she’s been drinking or taking some drugs, and I don’t know her.”

FRANKEL MAKES A BOLD ACCUSATION

In response to this, Frankel had a few words for Hostin when she appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” on Thursday. Not only did she deny the 50-year-old’s version but she accused her of being on drugs.

When host Andy Cohen echoed a caller’s inquiry about the incident, Frankel said, “I don’t know…I think she’s been drinking or taking some drugs, and I don’t know her.”

HOSTIN FIRES BACK

Hostin didn’t appreciate this and fired back at Frankel via Twitter. In her tweet, she called out the reality star for being a liar.

"Not surprising that a Reality TV personality who yells and bullies little kids on a beach lies," she wrote in response to a fan’s tweet about Frankel’s on-air comments. “But I have witnesses @Bethenny. @rmjansen feel free to weigh in. #receipts,” she continued.

Hostin, who’s also an attorney made sure that Frankel knew too what she was up against by adding,

“Oh and @Bethenny - defamation ain’t cute.......”

She later learned Franklin blocked her, a move she responded to with a thinking emoji.

FRANKEL FINDS AN ALLY

Meanwhile, a source close to Franklin denied that incident at the beach happened. The source told People,

“Bethenny doesn’t even know her. It seems so strange that Sunny has such a fixation on her. Sunny spoke negatively about Bethenny during her Puerto Rico efforts and she continues to do so. Not sure what her issue is.”

HOSTIN CALLS OUT BISHOP

This is the second time this month that Hostin made the news due to comments she made on “The View.” In early June, she called out a Catholic bishop for his remarks against the LGBTQ community.

Hostin clapped back at Bishop Thomas Tobin who discouraged Catholics from attending gay pride activities because he claimed they were “contrary to Catholic faith and morals.”

A Catholic herself, Hostin slammed the bishop and suggested it was safer for her children to attend pride activities than be in the company of the Catholic church.
