In the 2019 BET Awards, Fantasia Barrino was set to perform her new song "Enough." Of course, she dedicated this to her younger brother, Xavier Barrino, who has been recovering from a near-death motorcycle crash almost two years now.

However, despite everything that happened, Fantasia is happy that her brother is showing great signs of recovery that may enable him to walk again soon.

Added Motivation

"My little brother, who got into an accident not too long ago, he'll be walking soon. He had his last surgery, and I believe this is when he'll get up and walk, so I'm dedicating my performance to him tonight. I think [it'll make me emotional]," she added. "And it's going to make me sang. Not sing, but sang."

When he got into the accident, Xavier was told by his doctors that he may never be able to stand again, let alone walk. However, time and time again, he's proven them wrong and he's been able to defy what they thought he couldn't do.

Amazing Progress

Six months after his September 2017 accident, Xavier Barrino stunned everyone around him when he was able to stand up on his own despite the odds that he faced. He was definitely determined to get back in shape and continue to live his life normally.

"My Father is Awesome @xavierbarrino I’m so proud of you baby You never gave up the fight I TOLD YALL HE WOULD WALK AGAIN AND IM STANDING ON THAT “HE WILL” Father THANK YOU”

Now, almost two years after the accident, he continues to prove people wrong by making attempts to walk again following his final surgery. His family continues to support him in this fight towards living the life he used to live, and they'll continue to do anything and everything to keep him motivated to get better soonest.
