Nicole Kidman Sits with Keith Urban and Her Onscreen Husband Alexander Skarsgard during Paris Fashion Week
The Australian-American actress sat with her husband and her “Big Little Lies” co-star in the front row of a Giorgio Armani showcase in the French capital, drawing the attention of photographers.
52-year-old Nicole Kidman caused a stir during the Paris Fashion Week by sitting between her onscreen husband on HBO’s “Big Little Lies” Alexander Skarsgard and her real-life husband country singer Keith Urban for a show.
The surprising trio attended the Giorgio Armani Privé’s fall/winter showcase and sat in the front row, with Kidman sitting in the middle of her two male companions.
IN THE BEST COMPANY
Kidman appeared to be in the best of spirits during the event, and she looked like the living picture of glamour, wearing a sleeveless black gown with a white tuxedo blazer covering her shoulders.
She added a pair of matching black kitten heels to the ensemble and wore her blonde hair down, straightened out and parted in the middle.
The award-winning star added a touch of bright red on her lips, in perfect contrast to her pale skin and blue eyes.
51-year-old Urban and 41-year-old Skarsgard also dressed accordingly to the occasion, with the former wearing a black suit and tie with a white shirt and black boots and the latter entirely dressed in black, wearing a suit and T-shirt.
Not only Kidman and Urban made their usual PDA at the red carpet, but she was also very affectionate with Skarsgard, placing her hand on the Swedish actor’s knee during the fashion show.
IN CONTRAST WITH THEIR ONSCREEN RELATIONSHIP
Seeing Kidman and Skarsgard in such loving exchange might be strange for fans of the HBO drama, on which Skarsgard portrays an abusing husband, something that can get to be upsetting even for the experienced actress.
“Normally, I can step back into my family life in a very easy way. Not always, but you know, usually. I’ve been working a long time now. But it was hard,” Kidman told ET in 2017, adding that she can always count with Urban’s support on this.
“Luckily, I have a partner who is artistic so he understands what it takes to support that,” the “Eyes Wide Shut” star shared.
“I came home to loving arms, someone who would hold me, and I was really upset at times. Really damaged, really upset, and physically and emotionally drained and in pain — my neck, particularly,” she added.
THAT 2017 EMMY AWARDS KISS
Kidman famously kissed Skarsgard on the lips at the 2017 Emmy Awards, when the “Melancholia” actor was granted the “outstanding supporting actor in a limited series or movie” award.
The moment went viral but Kidman gave it little importance later, as Urban, who was also present at the mentioned awards show, clearly has.
13 YEARS OF MARRIAGE
Kidman and Urban recently arrived at the 13th anniversary as husband and wife.
The two married in 2006 in Australia, merely a year after meeting for the first time. They went on to have daughters Sunday Rose, 10, and Faith Margaret, 8.
The actress also shares daughter Isabella, 26, and son Connor, 24, with her former husband actor Tom Cruise, 56, from whom she divorced in 2001.
As a couple, Urban and Kidman have put their love to test, proving that they are there for each other in the good times and the bad.
THEY WENT THROUGH CHALLENGES
While after 13 years together they are more in love than ever, the marriage faced its first major challenge very early on, when Kidman had to stage an intervention for her husband of months to overcome his addictions in 2006.
"I caused the implosion of my fresh marriage," Urban told Rolling Stone in 2016.
“It survived, but it’s a miracle it did. I was spiritually awoken with her. I use the expression ‘I was born into her,’ and that’s how I feel. And for the first time in my life, I could shake off the shackles of addiction,” he added.
"I would probably say that two very lonely people managed to meet at a time when they could open themselves to each other. We were a mixture of frightened and brave,” Kidman shared with Vanity Fair in 2007.
