Daily Joke: Old Woman Had Just One Complaint after Family Leave Her in a Nursing Home

Getting older is not a choice. Old age creeps up on all of us, whether we're okay with that or not. In this joke, a senior lady makes the experience even funnier with her unusual complaint.

A family brings their frail, elderly mother to a nursing home and leaves her there hoping she would be well cared for.

The next morning, the nurses bathe her, feed her a tasty breakfast, and set her in a chair at a window overlooking a lovely flower garden.

She seems OK, happy even, but after a while, she slowly starts to fall over sideways in her chair. Two attentive nurses immediately rush up to catch her and straighten her up.

Again she seems content, but after a while, she slowly starts to tilt to the other side.

The nurses rush back and once more bring her back upright. This weird dance goes on all morning. Later, the family arrives to see how the old woman is adjusting to her new home.

“So Ma, how is it here? Are they treating you all right?” they ask.

“It’s pretty nice,” she replies.

“Except they won’t let you fart”

A nursing home that isn't winning public support at the moment is the Veterans' Home of California.

Artis Breau, a widow who moved into the Home 9 years ago with her now-late husband, has been threatened with eviction this year.

The 84-year-old Breau openly led Bible Study classes during the entirety of her stay but has been told that she will be evicted if she continued.

Breau who is an Evangelical Jew came under scrutiny in September 2018 when she had a discussion with another elderly resident about heaven and hell.

Their conversation reportedly led the man to lose sleep and it was deemed "elder abuse, emotional abuse, and otherwise illegal."
