Husband and Wife Die on the Same Day after 71 Years of Marriage
After spending over seven decades of their lives together, this American couple died simultaneously!
"Till death do us part" was indeed honored by this pair, Herbert Delaigle, and Marilyn Frances Delaigle, as they kept to their words.
Both husband and wife shared an invaluable bond and connection that not even death could strip them of it. Mr Herbert Delaigle departed from the face of the earth in the early hours of the day, twelve hours later, his darling wife followed suit.
The most intriguing part was that it was precisely at the same minute, and seconds. A match made in heaven perhaps?
Frances died at precisely 2:20 pm, the same time her husband died. Mr Delaigle was reported dead at around 2:20 am by DeLoach McKerley-Prescott Funeral Homes site.
According to information provided by the obituary, the couple who resided in Waynesboro, Georgia were survived by three great-great-grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 16 grandchildren, and 6 children.
Their marriage had withstood the test of time, working as a military official, Mr Herbert spent a lot of time away from home, but his wife made sure she overran the affairs of the house properly even in his absence.
Her children stated that she was a dedicated mother who assumed both parental roles when her husband was not home. The obituary notice reads:
"Her children said that she was a very devoted mother when their father had to be gone for months at a time."
Mrs Frances's obituary notice corroborated Herbert's absence and also explained that the family had to move from State to State during her husband's 20years in the military, they even spent half a dozen years in Germany.
From Mr Herbert's end, he was also a dedicated husband who loves his wife dearly. While he was alive, during their last anniversary celebration, he expressed his joy and profound happiness in his woman.
The great-greatgrandpa said:
"I never would have dreamed that we would've got this far, and I hope we go a few more years.."
The couple shared the same passion for animals. As Herbert loved carpentry, fishing, and farm animals, Frances was a former florist and had a thing for animals.
They got married 12 months after their first movie date. Frances explained that they had to beg the preacher to go ahead with the ceremony because her man came in late. Late or not, the duo successfully spent 71years of their life together, which is a remarkable achievement!
