BELLO TURNED LESBIAN AFTER HER DIVORCE
Bello shot to fame with her roles in movies including “Coyote Ugly,” “Prisoners,” “History of Violence.” Her role as Jacqueline Sloane in the famous crime series NCIS earned her recognition in the TV industry as well.
In 2006, the actress parted ways with her husband Dan McDermott who she shares her son with.
After the divorce, Bello discovered that she was interested in women and reportedly dated her close friend, Claire Munn.
Bello’s discovery about her sexuality was well-received by her son Jackson, who assured her that “love is love” no matter what you are.
In an essay titled “Coming Out as a Modern Family,” Bello recalled how she hit it off with her then-girlfriend Claire.
"I remembered how we had met two years before...We had an immediate connection but didn't think of it as romantic or sexual. She was one of the most beautiful, charming, brilliant and funny people I had ever met, but it didn't occur to me, until that soul-searching moment in my garden, that we could perhaps choose to love each other romantically."
Sadly, the couple broke up in 2016 and started dating her close friend, Elijah Allan-Blitz.
