Late Luke Perry Was 'the Coolest Dude on Earth,' According to His Co-Star Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio remembered his co-star, the late Luke Perry, as “the kindest, sweetest human being” during the premiere of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
During the much-awaited premiere of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” Leonardo DiCaprio honored his co-star who passed away in March, Luke Perry. The “Titanic” star had nothing but kind words for his departed colleague.
He was “the kindest, sweetest human being you could ever encounter. When I grew up with him on ‘90210,’ looking up to him as literally the coolest dude on earth, and honestly, when I was on set, I was starstruck,” Di Caprio said.
The actor continued to tell Extra that he and Perry had the chance to sit and converse and during those moments, he saw that the late actor “couldn’t have been a more amazing human being.”
At the time of his passing, DiCaprio took to social media to honor the “90210” actor and extend his condolences to Perry’s family. He wrote:
“Luke Perry was a kindhearted and incredibly talented artist. It was an honor to be able to work with him. My thoughts and prayers go out to him and his loved ones.”
Perry played the role of Scott Lancer in the Quentin Tarantino movie, whereas DiCaprio played Rick Dalton. Hollywood actor, Brad Pitt joins the cast of “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” as he plays Cliff Booth, the stunt double of Dalton.
The 52-year-old actor passed away on March 4, after suffering a massive stroke and being hospitalized since February 27. His death came only five months before his supposed wedding to fiancee, Wendy Madison Bauer.
Although their relationship was kept private, it was no secret that the two were deeply in love. Perry left behind his two daughters, Jack, 21, and Sophie, 18, whom he shares with his former wife, Rachel “Minni” Sharp.
