Hillary Clinton Shares a Throwback Photo Taken with Her Parents and Newborn Daughter Chelsea

The former Secretary of State is a grandmother once again, and she shares a throwback photo reminiscing on when she had her own daughter alongside her parents in early 1980s.

Hilary, 71 and her husband, Bill Clinton added a new member to their famous family when their daughter, Chelsea gave birth to her third child named “Jasper” at the Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan on Monday.

In celebration of the joyous incident, Hilary took to her Facebook page to share an old image which featured herself, and her mom cradling little Chelsea when she was still a baby.

“Thinking of this photo of my mother holding baby Chelsea, with my dad looking on over her shoulder, as Chelsea this week has just welcomed her third child” Hillary caption the image, before adding “Bill and I are extraordinarily proud grandparents, just like they were.”

Chelsea was born on February 27, 1980, and it is believed that that was when the adorable photo was taken. As seen from the throwback image, Dorothy Howell, who is Hillary’s mother, was captured sitting on a blue-colored chair while she wore a top and blue vest. She had baby Chelsea in her hands.

Hillary, who was just 32 as at then took a sit on the arm of the chair and wore a bright smile. Hillary’s father, Hugh Rodman, can be spotted in the background of the picture but was partially cut out.

Reports disclosed that a little while after Hillary uploaded the post, she went down to the hospital where her daughter had Jasper, who is baby number ‘3’ for Chelsea and her partner, Marc Mezvinsky.

EARLIER ANNOUNCEMENTS ON THE DELIVERY

Before, the throwback photograph, which serves as a tribute to her parents and also celebrates her newest grandchild, Hillary Clinton, and daughter, Chelsea through their social media pages made statements announcing Jasper’s birth.

On Monday, Chelsea wrote on her Twitter page:

"This morning we welcomed our son, Jasper Clinton Mezvinsky. We are overflowing with love and gratitude and can’t wait to introduce him to his big sister and brother.”

“Bill and I are so thrilled”

Hillary soon added, after which her husband, Bill Clinton tweeted:

“Hillary and I are overjoyed and grateful to meet our new grandson, Jasper!”

New mom, Chelsea had her first child – a daughter in 2014 and a son two years later in 2016. They are named Charlotte and Aidan, respectively. Her husband and father to all her children is Marc Mezvinsky, and the pair got married in 2010.
