When Monica and Dean Berckenhoff, arrived at the courthouse to exchange the promise of forever in the presence of their loved ones, they had no idea they would get the surprise of their lives.

Midway through the ceremony, the marriage rites got interrupted when a certain young man who later introduced himself as Travis Stufflebean, walked up to the couple.

Since it was evident that he was someone Monica and Dean didn't know, and he was crashing their wedding, they waited to find out who he was and the stethoscope in his hand made things more intriguing.

Travis informed the couple that he was the man who got their son, Colton's heart seven years ago and gave Monica and Dean the stethoscope to listen to their son's heartbeat.

The kind act brought on a lot of emotions, and Dean said hearing the heartbeat gave him the closure he craved for years. He added that although his son was not with them physically, his heart was, and the knowledge gave them comfort.

Monica, on her part, said hearing Colton's heartbeat and meeting the recipient has been something they always wanted, and there are no words to describe how they felt.

Travis was born with a heart defect that saw him in and out of the operating room for years. Before getting the deceased's heart, he had gone through open-heart surgery five times, and the sixth was Colton's.

The recipient said he considers the heart on loan to him, stating that the real owner will always be the deceased, and it was fitting to bring it where it belongs, with "This wonderful awesome family."

Colton, the couple's eldest child, died suddenly in 2012 at the age of 11, and his parents decided to do something useful with the tragedy they faced by donating his organs.

Monica's sister, Amanda arranged to have Travis at the wedding, and the Berckenhoff family and their guests will remember it for a long time.
