Paula Deen Looks Radiant Posing with Former President Jimmy Carter and His Wife Rosalynn

The celebrity chef was all smiles in a photo she shared that featured her posing alongside her other famous friends including the former president, Jimmy Carter.

Paula Deen spent a day with Carter and his wife, Rosalynn, along with a few other friends, as they gathered to raise funds for some charitable causes.

During the gathering, Deen and friends posed for a group photograph, which was shared by the chef on her Instagram account.

“Y'all, I had the honor of spendin' time with my friends, former President Jimmy Carter and his beautiful wife Rosalind, as we raised money for a few worthy causes a couple weekends ago,” she captioned her post.

Deen’s post has so far been liked by more than 4,000 people. Many others also took to the comments section to pay compliments to Deen as well as the Carter family.

Besides being a renowned cooking show host, Deen is also the author of about 14 cookbooks, which have collectively sold over 11 million copies.

After self-publishing her first book, a book editor discovered it at her restaurant, The Lady and Sons. She was then immediately approached for republishing the book.

Despite earning a celebrity status, Deen still likes to monitor her restaurant closely. She was recently found waiting tables at The Lady and Sons by hiding her identity.

In a previous interview, Deen revealed that her grandmother taught her a lot about cooking including the secret to preparing a perfectly seasoned fried chicken.

"She taught me that, to have good fried chicken, you should wash and season the bird the morning you're preparing it for dinner. Don't wait and do it right before you start cooking,” she said.

Recently, Deen herself became a proud grandmother to triplets, who were born to her daughter-in-law, Claudia, about nine months ago.

Following a premature birth scare, her grandchildren are now healthy. Their mom, Claudia, recently shared a few snapshots of the children enjoying their playtime.
