Jenna Bush Hager’s Newborn Son Hal Sleeps between His Little Sisters in a New Photo

On August 12, Jenna Bush Hager and her husband, Henry Hager welcomed their third child. The couple were visited by several of their close family and friends, at the hospital.

The most excited visitors to arrive were Hager’s two young daughters, Mila and Poppy. The Hager family have announced the birth of their first son, Henry Harold "Hal" Hager.

The mother of three shared pictures on Instagram of herself with her husband embracing their new-born. In her announcement she posts several pictures of baby Hal with her family members saying:

“Welcome to the world my darling Henry Harold “Hal” Hager! Hal came into the world Friday, August 2, 2019 at 9:02am and our life has never been sweeter."

During a surprise phone call to "Today," Hager shared the details of her son’s birth with her excited co-hosts.She tells "Today," they named him Henry after her husband, and also after Hager’s grandfather.

Hager jokingly tells the show that her father and the former president of the United States, George W Bush, was a little upset that her first son is not named after him.

Hager also shares with PEOPLE her daughters' reactions to meeting their brother. She says that Poppy and Mila were:

“thrilled to have a little brother and already nicknamed his nickname, exclaiming, ‘Welcome to the world, Hal Pal!”

Mila and Poppy are shown pushing Hal in a hospital cot. The sisters even climb into the hospital bed for a picture-perfect family embrace. Hager tells 'Today,' the girls were so excited that they wanted to take him home immediately.

Mila and Poppy have been eagerly preparing for the new-born. On the fourth of July, it was reported that the girls were given a Babygro. Hager mentions in her Instagram post that the doll was practicing for the arrival of their brother.

The arrival of her son has Hager joining her "Today" co-host, Hoda Kotb on maternity leave. Kotb has been on maternity leave following the adoption of her second daughter, Hope Catherine in April 2019.

"Today with Hoda and Jenna" sent a congratulatory message to her saying, “this beautiful chaos is what life is all about.”

The two girls are beaming with joy in matching outfits, as they pose with Hal sleeping peacefully in his car seat.

Our congratulations go out to the "Today" co-hosts. Hager and Kotb have both welcomed another child into their homes. May their maternity leave be filled with great moments.
