Jenna Bush Hager just welcomed the newest addition to her family of four. Her maternity leave was announced the same day she gave birth, so it looks like the newborn came just when he was expected.

The "Today Show" host and daughter of former President George W Bush, was delighted to announce that little Henry Harold "Hal" Hager had arrived on Friday morning.

Weighing in at seven pounds, five ounces, he measured 19.29 inches long and was born at 9:02 am. The couple talked about the little one in an interview and posted pictures online.

Speaking to People magazine, Jenna revealed that little Harold was named after husband Henry Hager's father, and his paternal grandfather. As for "Harold," it's the name of Jenna's maternal grandfather.

Harold Welch was a father to former first lady Laura Bush. Jenna said he was someone she "loved dearly." When she spoke to the Today Show, she said they weren't sure about the name at first.

It came to her when daughters, Mila, six, and Poppy, three, called the unborn baby "Hal pal." "We thought, 'This is perfect,'" Jenna said. Her father George Bush pretended to be mad that the boy wouldn't have his name, but ultimately deemed Hal "a cool name."

At the hospital, Jenna's entire family was present to welcome little Hal. Her sister brought the donuts which Jenna downed after giving birth. Daughters Mila and Poppy also did their part when they "picked him out in the nursery."

The two girls are "just crazy" and "thrilled" about the little one, Jenna said. She described how it was "so beautiful" when Poppy told her sibling she loves him and wanted to know how soon he could go home.

She also stated:

"I feel good. I feel happy. You know, I think when you're holed up in a hospital room with a newborn and you see the joy and the light in his eyes, you realize this is what life is for — to make the world better for our little babes."

On Friday, the "Today Show" made the official announcement that Jenna would be taking maternity leave to care for her newborn. Sitting next to Willie Geist, she got emotional as she spoke to the camera.

"Today is my last day!" she told viewers while on air. She thanked them for their overwhelming support over the last four months. She also thanked her co-worker and replacement Geist.

Coincidentally, "Today" co-host Hoda Kotb, who is on maternity leave herself, also dropped in on Friday to talk about her experience as a parent and to shower Jenna with more love.

Kotb, 54, is a mother to Haley Joy, two, and Hope Catherine, three months. Speaking of the shared new motherhood with Kotb, Jenna called it "a really beautiful moment in our lives" before thanking.

After seeing Kotb's video, she said she loves her and thanked her for the sentiments.

Jenna made the announcement that she was expecting back in April. At the time she said she was "very pregnant" with her third child. On the fourth of July, she shared more joy by revealing how her daughters were preparing for the arrival of their brother.

The tv-personality posted a photo of her girls sweetly cuddling a doll with the hashtag, "#Practicisingforbabybro." The two girls wore colorful Fourth of July headware and matching patterned red and white dresses as they enjoyed the holiday.

It looks like Jenna is surrounded by a world of positivity as she cares for her newborn son. Our congratulations go out to her and we wish the little one the best of health.
