'Dancing with the Stars' Season 28 Cast Members Will Be Announced Soon
Tom Bergeron revealed when “Dancing With The Stars” will announce the next season's contestants in a new Tweet.
After waiting and wondering who personalities will be up on their feet to compete in ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars,” host Tom Bergeron gives answers when the big reveal is -- or at least gives a clue.
“Not next week. But not too much beyond next week,” Bergeron replied to a fan who tweeted about the show.
The initial announcement was supposed to be made during “Good Morning America’s” episode on August 5 but was moved due to the shootings that happened in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio.
Hence, the big reveal may take place in the week of August 19.
Prior announcements for competitions series are usually split into two, the first revealing the professional dancers, and the second revealing the “stars” they will be dancing with. Most have been made toward the end of August.
Last season’s cast was announced at the beginning of September on “Good Morning America.” Alexis Ren, Juan Pablo di Pace, Nancy McKeon, Joe Amabile, Bobby Bones, John Schneider, and Milo Manheim were among those who competed.
Ths hit dancing competition series is on for its 28th season after being renewed in May of this year.
Some format changes will be applied that will “shift the focus of the show to really focus on it being a celebration of dance, and also focusing on the celebrities.”
ABC chose to skip the Spring 2019 season, breaking the tradition of having two seasons air in a year, according to TVLine. The renewal comes after a controversial finale happened last season when Bobby Bones consistently got low scores but still won.
Their final performance garnered an almost perfect score from the judges, hence the win, but raised questions after their overall performance was taken into account.
