GRANDPA AND GRANDSON GOALS
In the first photo shared by Rev Run, SJ, wore a floater while enjoying his grandpa's company in the pool. The older man held a basketball above water, and together with his grandson, smiled widely.
In the second photo shared by Simmons, her father and son are still in the pool, but this time, the celebrity DJ is kissing his grandson on the cheek, while still holding the basketball. The two looked adorable, and Simmons captioned it,
"My favorites."
Reacting to how cute Rev Run and SJ looked, the "Growing Up Hip Hop" star's followers left comments ranging from "I love this pic," to
"Life gives us moments like this. 100% makes it worth living."
SIMMONS IS PROUD OF HER GREATEST GIFT
Simmons lives for her son; since she gave birth to him in September 2016, she shares photos of him and keeps her followers updated on the little boy's life, non-stop.
In January, the TV star shared a video on Instagram of SJ reading from flashcards. In the accompanying caption, the mum-of-one wrote that she was concerned when the 2-year-old didn't start speaking when she expected, but things have turned around, and she could not be more proud.
SJ got a lot of accolades from his mum's fans, with one of them, writing,
"Yass! SJ knocks them cards down."
Another fan wrote,
"Aww! Omg, this child is too cute and smart."
IT TAKES A VILLAGE
Simmons shared the soon-to-be 3-year-old boy with her late ex-fiancé, Sutton Tennyson Sr. He died on November 2018 from multiple gunshot wounds, after he got shot at the garage of his Atlanta home.
At his death, the reality star thanked Sutton for leaving behind "her greatest gift," and promised to "Hold him down." The promise got reiterated by Simmons younger brother, JoJo.
In an Instagram post, JoJo lamented the death of the then-37-year-old male, before adding,
"… I'm here to be the man for your son to look up to, and call whenever he needs me."
The TV star responded, writing:
"It's going to take a village."
JoJo kept his word by making himself available to take his nephew to the barbing salon, and perform other manly duties with SJ. Simmons is doing all she can for her son, and keeping her promise to Sutton, at the same time.
