'Slide Away' Singer Miley Cyrus Spotted Cuddling with Kaitlynn Carter after Liam Hemsworth Split

Nearly a month after her separation from her husband of 7 months, Miley Cyrus was seen laughing and enjoying herself with another woman. A source said the pair were “very happy.”

Miley Cyrus, 26, has been seen everywhere with Kaitlynn Carter, 30, since the news of her separation from Liam Hemsworth, 29. They were spotted on Sunday leaving a lunch date with the singer's mother, Leticia "Tish" Cyrus, 52, in Los Angeles.

Carter is the ex-wife of Caitlyn Jenner’s son reality star Brody Jenner. She and Cyrus were also seen together at last week’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMA’s).

MTV cameras briefly caught Carter backstage placing her hand on Cyrus’ head before the singer performed an emotional version of her break-up song “Slide Away.” Later in the evening, the two were photographed holding hands as they walked into the Up and Down nightclub in New York City after the show.

On Sunday, the musician was photographed with her arm wrapped around Carter’s shoulders as they walked from the valet station to their car. The pair were seen laughing, joking, and holding each other after eating with Leticia.

Cyrus and Carter also seemed to have coordinated their clothing. They both wore white t-shirts and jeans with Carter opting for a crop top and long jeans while the singer chose a normal t-shirt and denim shorts.

A source stated: “They live together and are very happy.” The insider added: “Miley is doing great. She is moving on. She seems to have no regrets. She loves being with Kaitlynn.”

Hemsworth took to Instagram to confirm their separation after the images of his ex kissing her girlfriend in Italy were revealed. Cyrus’ representative revealed that the pair had broken up to focus on "themselves and their careers."

A few days after the separation, Hemsworth filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences." Cyrus also took to social media recently to defend herself against rumors that her marriage had ended because she cheated.

Carter separated from Jenner a short while before Cyrus and her husband called it quits. Cyrus and Carter were initially spotted kissing in Lake Como, Italy, in August before the musician announced her separation from Hemsworth.

A source spoke about the pair’s relationship at the time saying:

“Miley is very close with Kaitlynn. It’s romantic, but also a friendship. They are both going through similar stuff right now and are bonding over it.”
