President Donald Trump's Daughter Ivanka Celebrates Her Grandmom's 93rd Birthday in Touching Post
Ivanka Trump's grandmother is 93! The First Daughter took to Twitter to celebrate her grandma with a touching post.
Ivanka Trump has a grandmother she loves and is super proud of. For her 93rd birthday, the First Daughter shared a touching post on Twitter.
She wrote alongside a photo of the celebrant looking lovely in a casual outfit, with a dog on her lap,
"My sweet and wickedly funny grandmother is 93 years young." Ivanka added: "[She is] still an epic raconteur, and favored lunch date," ending with, "What a blessing to be able to spend time with her."
The celebrant is the First Daughter's maternal grandma; the mom to her mother, Ivana Trump. Ivana is President Donald Trump's first wife, and mother of his three older children.
She migrated to Canada in the '70s after working as a professional skier and ski instructor in her younger years. After relocating, the Czech born socialite began a modeling career which brought her to New York in '76 where she met the real estate billionaire, Trump.
The former couple got married in '77, and by '90, they divorced, and the mom-of-three walked away with a settlement of $20 million. The New York resident stayed friends with her ex-husband and said in recent times that the President asked for her opinion before joining Twitter, and offered her an Ambassador position to the Czech Republic, which she turned down.
Ivanka took after Ivana in a lot of ways. The White House adviser is a socialite like her mother and in her teenage years, worked as a model. A young Ivanka covered the front page of Seventeen Magazine, and once walked the runway for Versace.
The mom-of-three left the world of fashion for high-powered suits and boardroom negotiations after she graduated from college in 2005, and took up a position with her father. Ivanka gets referred to as President Trump's favorite child, and together with her husband, Jared Kushner, was instrumental in his run for Presidency.
During the 2016 Republican Convention, she pledged to make policies that will help working mothers' balance their work and home lives better. She said,
"As a mother myself, of three young children, I know how hard it is to work while raising a family. And I also know that I'm more fortunate than most."
Those words show Ivanka's commitment to women and family, and while she's yet to make good on that promise, she is working hard to ensure that women enjoy the work and home life balance she has.
Family is everything to the First Daughter, and she adores Ivana and her grandmother.
