R. Kelly is reportedly trying to get out of jail, citing various health reasons in new legal documents filed by his legal team.

Kelly, 52, has been in jail since July when he was arrested on federal sex crime charges in Chicago.

In the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Kelly’s lawyer Steve Greenberg claimed that the singer’s health is deteriorating and that he isn’t receiving adequate medical attention.

Kelly’s sexual behavior came into question once again after the January premiere of "Surviving R. Kelly."

According to the filing, some of Kelly’s current ailments include numbness in one of his hands, anxiety and an untreated hernia.

Greenberg also described the conditions of confinement as "stifling," stating:

"Although he [Kelly] lives and has lived with two lady friends, only one of them is allowed to be on his visiting list, and after 90 days he's required to switch."

Kelly’s two live-in girlfriends are Joycelyn Savage and Azriel Clary. In March, when they granted an interview to defend Kelly against sexual abuse allegations, Savage and Clary were 23 and 21 respectively.

Greenberg reportedly told TMZ that Clary is the woman currently on Kelly’s visiting list in jail and Savage has to wait for the 90 days to elapse before she can visit.

According to Bossip, Greenberg’s filing also points out to the judge that Kelly is broke, and so doesn’t have the means to pay off or intimidate witnesses if he’s released from jail.

The lawyer further noted that Kelly is not a flight risk because, besides not having the money to do so, the feds had confiscated his passport. Greenberg reportedly emphasized the fact that Kelly didn’t run away during his first child sex trial more than 10 years ago.

Kelly’s sexual behavior came into question once again after the January premiere of "Surviving R. Kelly," a Lifetime docuseries that chronicled his alleged physical and sexual abuse of several women, some of whom were underage at the time of the assault.

In February, Kelly was indicted in Chicago on 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, and three months later, Cook County prosecutors slammed him with 11 new sexual assault charges.

Kelly is also facing similar charges in New York and Minnesota, Complex noted.
