Fans and Celebrities Pay Tribute to Opera Legend Jessye Norman Who Has Died at 74

Jessye Norman, who made waves singing Opera has passed away. The entire internet grieves her sudden demise with notable celebrities taking to social platforms to honor her.

Norman is widely recognized as a Grammy award-winning Opera singer and has made an impact with her talented performances.

It is why both celebrities and non-celebrities consider her demise a significant loss to the industry. There is a long list of celebrities who have taken to social platforms to air their grief over Norman's death.

It includes "Welsh" actor, Luke Evans who tweeted:

"Goodbye, #JessyeNorman the opera world loses another magnificent voice."

British radio presenter, Angie Greaves also tweeted:

"What a tragic loss. #JessyeNorman sang without reservation, without limitation, and without equal. The universe is a little dimmer today. #JessyeNorman was the aspiration for every little black girl with big voices and a love of Opera."

The list also includes an emotional tribute from "Orange Is the New Black" star Uzo Aduba who shared that she had a strong relationship with the late singer.

"I don't yet have the words to capture the power and effect #JessyeNorman had on my life. She was one of two women who inspired my collegiate path, serving as an example of possibility." "What a talent. What virtuoso. What a woman. May she forever rest," Aduba shared via Twitter.

Other famous figures that have honored Norman's memory include Al Roker, Clay Jones, and many others.

The tributes, which also consists of that from Norman's massive fan following are unending with the shock of her death getting heightened by the wide attention.

Aged 74, Norman passed away during the early hours of Monday at the Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital in New York. She was however surrounded by family and close friends.

The Opera singer died from complications of spinal cord injury she suffered in 2015. Funeral arrangements for the legendary singer are expected to be announced in the coming days.
