From Being Arrested to Losing a Son: Life Struggles of Hollywood Legend Clark Gable's Only Son John

Hollywood legend Clark Gable's only son, John Clark Gable, has faced great struggles and trials in life.

In 2013, John Clark was arrested on charges of driving under the influence after hitting six parked vehicles in Malibu, as reported by CNN.

"He passed this morning. I will always be next to you my beautiful son."

John Clark was driving a white Ford pickup when the accident happened, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies.

Albeit nobody was harmed, John Clark was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of liquor, and hit-and-run.

Malibu Patch reported that he was discharged after posting $15,000 bail.

The year before, John Clark's live-in girlfriend, makeup artist Christiane Candice Lange, was discovered dead in their Malibu home, as reported by TODAY.

Her demise was believed to be a result of a prescription drug overdose.

In February 2019, John Clark's son, Clark James Gable also known as Clark Gable III, passed away at 30 years old at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas after being found unresponsive, Variety reported.

The model and aspiring actor's death was announced by his mother, Tracy Yarro, on Instagram. She wrote:

"It's is with an extremely heavy heart we say goodbye to my beautiful son Clark. He passed this morning. I will always be next to you my beautiful son. Mom."

Fox News reported that Gable III, who is known for hosting several seasons of a reality television show, "Cheaters," died of an accidental drug overdose.

In 2011, he was arrested for shining a laser pointer at a police helicopter in Los Angeles.

After pleading guilty, he was sentenced to 10 days in jail and three years probation, according to CNN.

Prior to his demise, he also tried to get into films like his dad, John Clark, who is known for "Sunset at Dawn," "Aliens from Uranus," and "Sunset at Dawn 2."

His legendary grandfather, Clark, best known for his portrayal of Rhett Butler in the 1939 classic "Gone With the Wind," passed away in 1960.

John Clark was born four months after his dad's passing.
