Hugh Jackman of 'Wolverine' Is a Proud Dad of Two Beautiful Kids — Meet Both of Them

The Hollywood icon, Hugh Jackman, is more than just a perfect actor. He is also a doting father to his two children, who are currently in their teenage years.

The "Wolverine" star has two children -- Oscar, 18, and Ava, 13 -- whom he shares with his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness. Both teenagers are their adopted children.

Among the two children, Oscar is just about to leave high school while Ava is all set to join high school. As the children continue to grow, the parents have had several adjustments to make in their lives.

CHANGE IS GOOD

In an interview, Jackman opened up about the changes that came in his role as a parent as his children began stepping into their teenage years. The star revealed that it took him and his wife "a bit of readjusting."

“It went from ‘Hey, guys, these are the rules, we don’t do that,’ to having to give them reasons why,” he told People. However, now Jackman feels that it is amazing to even have simple conversations with them.

Jackman also opened up about another advantage of having grown up children in their lives. The family can now watch more movies made for the grown-ups.

“It’s nice to go to the movies and see something you both want to see. It’s no longer ‘Oh good, let’s watch Shrek for the 120th time.’ I mean, I love Shrek but not 120 times.”

The 50-year-old star further admitted that being a father has taught him many things and has helped "put everything into perspective." He also explained that having children in your life means that they become the point of your total focus.

THE ROAD TO PARENTHOOD

Previously, Jackman also opened up about the ordeals he and his wife faced as the couple struggled to have children naturally. Moreover, the actor explained that he has never thought of his children as being the adopted ones.

Despite their struggles on road to becoming parents, Jackman and Furness is a couple that couldn't more in love with each other. Currently, in their 23rd year of marriage, Jackman previously called Furness the "greatest gift" he has ever received.

Earlier this year, Jackman made headlines with a spectacular stage performance of the song, "The Greatest Show," during 2019 Brit Awards. The actor presented a rendition of the song appearing on stage in the role of PT Barnum from his movie, "The Greatest Showman."
