50-Year-Old Hugh Jackman Truly Rocked the Stage with a Wonderful Greatest Showman Rendition

Hugh Jackman sang live on stage at the 2019 Brit Awards gave his fans a night to remember with a powerful performance of the song “The Greatest Show”.

Jackman reprised his role as PT Barnum from the beloved film “The Greatest Showman” on a stage filled with circus acts and aerial dancers, and perfectly carried out the tune giving everyone in the audience goosebumps.

The star brought down the house in what was just the opening number, setting the mood for a thrilling night ahead at the 2019 Brit Awards held at The O2 Arena.

The Brit Awards along with other online users unanimously agreed and sent messages of love for the actor and his remarkable showmanship, calling his rendition “epic” and “magnificent”.

The Australian actor, singer, and producer began his career in theater, first in his hometown, and later on in London’s West End where he received an Olivier Award for Best Actor for his part in the production of “Oklahoma!”.

He became a movie star by starring in blockbuster hits like “X-Men”, “Kate and Leopold”, and “Van Helsing”.

His return to his musical theater roots with the movie adaptation of “Les Misérables”, and eventually the well-received “The Greatest Showman” movie with a soundtrack that was the highest-selling album of 2018.

Jackman is happily married to Deborrah-Lee Furness whom he met on his first major professional job, the drama series called “Correlli” in 1995. He remembered the moment fondly saying,

“Meeting my wife was the greatest thing to come out of it.”

Thirteen years his senior, Hugh said he knew Deborrah was the one, which is the key to the success of their marriage. He says,

“You’ve got to find the right person. It’s powerful but simple.”

Still romantic after over two decades together, Jackman posted a loving anniversary message on their 22nd anniversary saying,

“I believe in life we need to see and truly be seen by the most important people in our lives. Deb, from day one, we had that. 22 years later… it only gets deeper. You and the kids are the greatest gifts I will ever receive. I love a gazillion times around the world.”
