On Wednesday, the 49-year-old actor gushed over his much older wife on Instagram as he marked their milestone with a beach-side selfie of the two of them. Immortalizing the moment, he reaffirmed his love for the 62-year-old in his sweet and touching caption.

“I believe in life we need to see and truly be seen by the most important people in our lives. Deb, from day one, we had that. 22 years later… it only gets deeper. You and the kids are the greatest gift I will ever receive. I love you a gazillion times around the world.”

Since meeting on the set of the ABC drama ‘Correlli’ in 1995, tying the knot in 1996, and adopting their two children, Oscar and Ava, the couple have managed to stay strong and ageless.

In a recent interview with Closer Weekly as reported by the Daily Mail, Hugh admitted the success of his marriage was hinged on a very simple premise.

“'You've got to find the right person. It's powerful, but simple.”

Hugh has also been very outspoken about the positive role his wife plays in his life and career and he recognizes how much she’s sacrificed for him. He told Who last January,

His next film will revolve around the story of US politician Gary Hart, the role he’s playing, and the scandalous love affair that tarnished his presidential campaign in 1988. The film titled ‘Front Runner’ will be directed by Jason Reitman and also stars Vera Farmiga and J.K. Simmons.
