Katharine McPhee Shares New Wedding Pic in Honor of Husband David Foster on His 70th Birthday

In honor of her husband, David Foster's birthday, Katharine McPhee shares rarely seen pictures, which include a glimpse of her wedding dress.

On Friday, David Foster celebrated his 70th birthday. In honor of his special day, Katharine McPhee shared eight pictures of the couple together, along with a sweet message she says:

"I've known this man for 13 years now! What was once a working relationship became a friendship and ultimately led us here."

In a photo montage of some of her favorite moments, she shows the couple enjoying a boat ride across to the Statue of Liberty.

The second picture gives a glimpse of her London wedding ceremony, held in June. As she walked towards a star struck Foster, McPhee strolled down the aisle in a ruffled strapless gown designed by Zac Posen.

In her wedding throwback picture, she shows the back of her gown and revealed a long ruffled veil, one commenter remarks:

"Congrats girlfriend!!! That veil is EVERYTHING! ?"

According to PEOPLE, McPhee and Foster first met in 2006, when he came on season 5 of "America Idol," as a mentor to the contestants. In her birthday message she talks about meeting Foster, McPhee adds:

"Anyone who meets him talks about how charming he is, so much so that he eventually charmed his way into my heart. I'm so proud that he's my husband! May God bless you with many many more years. Happy birthday baby! @davidfoster ???."

The rest of the pictures show the couple performing together on stage, at red carpet events and other pictures posing together.

Despite the couples natural chemistry, sparks didn't fly the first time they met, Foster admits he was too busy with his role as mentor to notice McPhee when he was on the show, he explains:

"She didn't catch my eye on the first day because I was so busy trying to do my job. The reality is that in the last 12 years I've always had a connection with her."

The couple have both been married before. McPhee was married to Nick Cokas in 2008, and they divorced in 2016. It is reported, Foster played the piano at their wedding reception.

Prior to McPhee, Foster had been married four times; to B.J Cook, Rebecca Dryer, Linda Thompson and Yolanda Hadid.
