Us Weekly: Keanu Reeves of 'The Matrix' and Alexandra Grant Have Reportedly Been Dating for Years

After Keanu Reeves makes a rare red carpet appearance with his girlfriend Alexandra Grant, it is revealed that the couple have been dating for many years.

On Saturday, during Keanu Reeves' red carpet appearance at the LACMA Art + Film Gala Presented By Gucci, the "Speed" actor seemly confirmed his romance with artist, Alexandra Grant.

The couple proudly posed hand in hand as they stood on the red carpet in front of a sea of flashing camera lights.

Speaking exclusively to US Weekly, a source reveals the couple have known each other for several years and have been dating since the summer of 2017. The source says the couple's relationship was not intentionally kept a secret.

Reeves has been known to keep his private life very low-key. His relationship is something he hasn't tried to hide, but he has simply not drawn a lot of attention to it publically.

According to Daily Mail, Reeves has not had a serious relationship in what seems to be close to a decade. During his 35 year career he has never been photographed showing affection with a woman on the red carpet.

"They were standing next to each other and laughing by themselves towards the beginning of the cocktail hour, and then even when they were standing talking to others, they still stood next to each other," the source reveals about their appearance at the LACMA event.

It is reported, the couple first worked together on Reeves' first book as a writer, titled, "Ode to Happiness."

Grant, who is now an award winning artist provided the illustrations for the book, in what was her first artist book.

Reeves and Grant did the same collaboration on his second book, "Shadows." The following year the duo teamed up again to co-found a publishing house, "X Artists' Books".

In the past Reeves has been romantically linked to Amanda De Cadenet and Sandra Bullock. His last known serious relationship was with Jennifer Syme, who tragically died in a car accident in 2001 at 28-years-old.
