The controversy began when T.I. Harris was asked by Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham, the "Ladies Like Us" hosts if he'd had the sex-talk with his daughter Deyjah yet.

T.I. responded by explaining that he takes his daughter every year to the gynecologist to have her hymen checked to see if she's still a virgin- in his presence...

But what stunned listeners, even more, was Nazanin Mandi and Nadia's response to T.I.'s shocking revelation. They laughed and joked about it, asking if Deyjah was athletic, or did horse riding.

The hosts of "Ladies Like Us" not only took down the offending podcast, they posted an apology on Instagram.

They claim they had a "knee-jerk" reaction to T.I.'s statements and that they were conscious that their reaction to his revelation should have been very different.

The reaction from denizens of the net was overwhelming - and none of it in T.I.'s favor. He has been accused of being controlling and humiliating his daughter with his demand for the examination, and his presence in the room while it is taking place.

"As a teenaged developed girl, this has to be humiliating and degrading. Who wants their father in the room while they’re undressed with their legs cocked wide open."

turnup_time28 was more to the point, calling a spade a spade and T.I. a bully and wrote:

"This Kind Of Parenting Is Bullying Overkill. Lighten Up. Don't Make Her Run Away With The First One...WillingTo Defy You. ?"

Other comments pointed out that he was drawing attention to his daughter, exposing her intimacy, and perhaps subjecting her to unpleasant treatment or bullying.

T.I. Harris has not responded to the controversy, but Deyjah was forced to close down the comments on her Instagram after receiving hundreds of messages with unpleasant content.

WENDY WILLIAMS SLAMS T.I. HARRIS OVER PODCAST

Wendy Williams slammed rapper T.I. Harris for making his daughter go to a yearly gynecological exam to have her hymen checked. She told her audience indignantly:

"He got on his podcast and he said he goes to the gynecologist with her at the time of each birthday she has and sits there with the doctor for the final report. You know why he's there? To check her hymen, and see if she's a virgin."

Wendy went on to say that in Deyjah's place she would feel violated, and accused T.I. of double standards since he quite openly speaks about his son King having sex from the age of 14.

T.I. Harris got quite a talking-to from Wendy, and she is just one of the hundreds of angry voices raised in his daughter's defense.
