Carrie Ann Inaba Slammed by Fans after Message to Sean Spicer Following His DWTS Elimination
'Dancing With the Stars' judge, Carrie Anna Inaba faces severe backlash after she sends Sean Spicer a farewell message following his elimination.
After beating all the odds and making it to the quarter finals, despite having consistently low scores, Sean Spicer has finally been eliminated from "Dancing With the Stars."
Despite her earlier sentiments she honors him with a goodbye message that has many fans upset. On her Instagram story, she writes:
"And to [Sean Spicer], You have my fullest respect for what you brought to the ballroom. You never stopped smiling, you continued to give It your absolute best."
This for his performance Spicer danced with Jenna Johnson after she replaced Lindsay Arnold, who left to be with her family to mourn the loss of her mother-in-law.
"You always uplifted those around you with the hope in your heart and your openness and willingness to give it you all no matter the outcome…it takes courage to do what you did," Inaba says in a lengthy post.
"You are very much loved by so many people. I hope you feel that every day. And you are also now loved and respected by one more person, for what you showed me on our ballroom dance floor this season. Thank you! And we will see you soon! #respect," Inaba concludes her message.
After weeks of encouraging viewers to vote better, not many fans are buying the sincerity in Inaba's message, one fan writes:
"Feeling bad for the way you treated him Carrie Ann?? You should! I've always been a loyal viewer, but no more!!"
"And I want to say thank you for coming and being a part of what made this season so special," What you mean is thank you for bringing in lots of viewers who don't usually watch your show, which helped our rating," says another fan in Spicers defence.
Many fans are angered by the seemingly sweet post because of Inaba's sometimes stern comments to Spicer while the judges often gave him low score, a fan says:
"Carrie Ann is so full of her self along with the rest of them!! All 3 are rude but how they acted over Spicer only kept him on the show longer. To keep this show going they need to replace all 3 judges and try to pick people that dance with equal experience."
After weeks of avoiding elimination because of his high votes Spicer tells PEOPLE, he is relieved but still disappointed to be leaving the competition.
For their performances the judges gave Spicer and Johnson 26/40 for dancing to Destiny's Child's "Bills, Bills, Bills" and 24/40 for One Direction's "Story of My Life."
