During her interview on the “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Monday, Whoopi Goldberg put to rest the rumors of the behind-the-scenes feud between her “The View” co-hosts.

Because of each woman’s strong opinions shared on camera and rebuttals against each other, it seems that fans have concluded that the girls don’t get along.

Goldberg served as a referee and insisted everyone calm down and take a step back as the conversation has started to turn into screams.

GOLDBERG DENIES THE RUMORS

The Oscar Award-winning actress is among the panel that viewers watch on-screen, joining Meghan McCain, Abby Huntsman, Sunny Hostin, and Joy Behar. She said:

“I’ve been there for almost ten years; everyone has what they need to do, and folks, when it’s women they say, ‘You know, they’re fighting.’ If we’re fighting, you’d actually know it, okay?”

Goldberg, who disclosed that the discussions turn to heated debates at times, added that their comments and reactions are part of what’s expected of them in the job.

The ladies don’t take it personally when one has a strong opinion about a topic the other doesn’t believe in. “We’re not like, ‘Stop it, you’re mean to me,’” she joked. The “Sister Act” star added:

“It is living with other people who are not you; they think differently; they want to say different stuff. I figure that’s okay -- they’re trying to do their gig too because after all, this is our day job, where they’re paying us for our opinions.”

RECENT DISAGREEMENT ON “THE VIEW”

Last April, hosts Goldberg and McCain had opposing opinions about the proposal of granting felons voting rights.

Goldberg believed that once let out of prison, an ex-convict is free to return as an American citizen, which of course, includes having the right to vote. However, the other host didn’t agree.

While Goldberg defended her stance, McCain let out a gasp, which the former questioned by her mouth was left open that way.

GOLDBERG CALMS EVERYONE DOWN

In a different episode, viewers saw McCain and Behar battling their opinions on air as things started getting intense between the two to the point that they were shouting.

Goldberg served as a referee and insisted everyone calm down and take a step back as the conversation has started to turn into screams.

An insider previously shared the real deal between Behar and McCain, which is at par with what Goldberg claims. The source said:

“The truth is, Meghan and Joy like each other and get along more often than not -- they just don’t agree on their politics.”
