Hager, who is fresh from her maternity leave, said in the interview that being away from work allowed her to take her daughters, Mila and Poppy, to school every day.
The former First Daughter noted that she and her husband, Henry Hager, miss a lot of their children's schedules because they are busy, and:
"Since Henry and I both have big jobs, I'm hoping that our kids realize that the biggest job and biggest priority is them."

The TV host also gushed to the news outlet about Mila's newest accomplishment — reading. She described seeing the 6-year-old read as,
"… One of the most significantly beautiful times in my life."
Hager added that all of the clichés used by parents are real because the days are indeed long, but the years are short, and,
"Nobody tells you about the little moments in parenting that will mean the world to you."

The TV personality also spoke on her house being chaotic with her trying to manage her girls, and her newborn son, Henry Harold "Hal" Hager. The mom-of-three and her husband welcomed the little boy on August 2nd. He weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz., and measured 19.29 inches.
In a statement made at the time, Hager said her family was thrilled to welcome their newest member, and Mila and Poppy were excited to have a baby brother and refer to him as "Hal Pal." The TV host announced her pregnancy in April on "Today," and spent her complete three months maternity leave with her family.
On November 11th, the TV personality returned to the morning show. She joined her co-host Hoda Kotb, and fellow "Today" anchors Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, and Dylan Dreyer outside 30 Rock.
The Texas native said during the show that she woke up positively with a phone call from Kotb, and the latter introduced her as "Jenner from Texas."
