The actress and her husband spent years building lives in the spotlight, but their daughters are now old enough to write their own chapters. And while one is stepping closer to the family business, the other appears to be taking a very different road.

Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy's daughters have grown into two very different young women. Sophia and Georgia Macy have also recently drawn attention from fans who noticed not just how grown-up they are, but how much they resemble their famous parents.

A Hollywood Love Story That Became a Family Story

Felicity and William first met in the early 1980s. Their romance was not a straight line, as they dated on and off for 15 years before marrying in 1997.

They welcomed Sophia in 2000, followed by Georgia two years later. Today, both daughters are adults, and their paths show how differently two sisters can grow up under the same famous roof.

Sophia Macy Is Following the Family Business

Sophia, now 25, studied theater at Carnegie Mellon University. She made her television debut in Jordan Peele's CBS series The Twilight Zone in 2020. She is also known for 2026's Rooster and Brian. Her work has placed her closer to the career path both of her parents know well.

In a May 2026 interview at a Sony Pictures Television FYC event, Felicity revealed that she and William do not see Sophia's acting ambitions in quite the same way. "My husband has no trepidation about it. He's like, 'I love this business. I love actors. I love everybody in it,'" she shared.

Felicity admitted she worries about Sophia pursuing a career in the entertainment industry because of how challenging the business can be. Still, she noted that acting is something her daughter truly enjoys and added that she is very talented.

The actress also said she would be open to appearing in one of her daughter’s future projects if the opportunity came along.

William previously shared his excitement about his oldest daughter entering the industry, saying, "I love this business. I figured if I can do it, anyone can do it."

Georgia Macy Chose a Different Direction

Georgia, now 24, was born on March 14, 2002, in Los Angeles. Unlike Sophia, she does not appear interested in chasing a Hollywood career. "My other daughter is going to law school," Felicity said at the Sony FYC event.

That choice lines up with what Felicity said years earlier. In 2019, she shared that Georgia was interested in politics and political science and was venturing into that field. "She's in a very academic school and killing it," she gushed,

The Sisters Share One Outdoor Passion

Though Sophia and Georgia seem to be moving toward different careers, they appear to share at least one hobby: horseback riding.

The sisters have been seen in photos and videos riding horses on trails through valleys and hills, moments they have shared on their personal Instagram pages. The images gave fans a rare look at the Macy sisters away from red carpets and headlines.

Fans Point Out the Sisters' Resemblance to Felicity

Today, the proud parents occasionally share photos of their daughters, giving fans a glimpse into their lives as young adults. Many people were quick to point out how much the sisters resemble Felicity, while others admired how grown-up they looked in the pictures.

A Family Still Linked to a Painful Chapter

Sophia's name was also tied to a difficult public moment for the family. Felicity previously completed her sentence for her role in the college admissions scandal.

She pleaded guilty to paying disgraced admissions consultant Rick Singer $15,000 to have a proctor change Sophia's SAT answers. Felicity was sentenced to 14 days in prison, fined $30,000, and ordered to complete 250 hours of community service.

She reported to the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California, on October 15, 2019, and was released on October 25, two days early because October 27 fell on a weekend. She also served one year of supervised release.

Years later, Felicity addressed the decision and the shame she felt. "It felt like I had to give my daughter a chance at a future. And so it was sort of like my daughter's future, which meant I had to break the law," she shared.

She also remembered the day Sophia took the test. "She was going, 'Can we get ice cream afterwards?'" Huffman said. "'I'm scared about the test. What can we do that's fun? And I kept thinking, turn around, just turn around. And to my undying shame, I didn't."

Felicity Huffman also apologized to those affected. "I think the people I owe a debt and apology to is the academic community," she admitted. "And to the students and the families that sacrifice and work really hard to get to where they are going legitimately."

Sophia and Georgia are now stepping into adulthood with very different goals. Sophia is building a creative path, while Georgia appears focused on law and public life.

For Felicity and William, that means watching their daughters move forward in their own ways. One may carry the family name deeper into entertainment, while the other may take it into a courtroom or another public-facing field.

What stands out most is not just how much the sisters have grown, but how clearly they seem to be choosing for themselves.
