A Redditor decided to ask the netizens if he should ask the people who have been living in his house for over 10 years to move out.

According to the user, the house was previously owned by his grandfather who had moved to live in an elderly community because taking care of the house by himself was an ordeal for him.

The old man had rented the house to a nice family who has been living there for many years now. They have taken pretty good care of the house over the years.

The user's grandfather left the house to him in his will, but he and his wife hadn't lived there. Now that the Redditor's wife has graduated from college, they want to move in to the house since they both grew up in that town.

THE HOUSE IS IN GOOD HANDS

After the man's grandfather passed away, he went over to the house and introduced himself to the family living there.

After talking to the family, the user discovered that they want to keep living in the house since it means a lot to them now. They have made the house their home after all these years of living there.

The user also revealed that the family renovated the garden and it looks beautiful now. The family even redid the treehouse that the Redditor's grandfather had built.

According to the man, the family told him that his grandfather had offered to sell it to them. Since the old man had mentioned the fact to him, the man is convinced that the family is not lying to him.

THE DILEMMA

Although the family is more than happy to buy the house, the man does not want to sell it because he has made a lot of memories there. The house holds an emotional significance for him. After all, it was a childhood home for the man.
