Kim Kardashian Thanks Jennifer Lopez For Helping Her Study As Alex Rodriguez Interrupts Them In New Facebook Portal Ad

The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star, Kim Kardashian, and the pop sensation, Jennifer Lopez, team up for the promotional commercials for Portal by Facebook.

The tycoons of glamor came together to promote the new smart video calling venture from Facebook. The reality star and pop singer portrayed mentor and mentee in the commercial.

The gorgeous Kardashian-Lopez duo has a bond more profound than the commercials could ever hope to show. Alex Rodriguez, Lopez's fiancé, opened up about their relationship to "People."

KARDASHIAN IS LOPEZ'S MENTEE

In the commercial uploaded to Instagram by Kardashian, she was carrying a hefty book and placed it on the table while she thanked Lopez for being her "study buddy."

Lopez was seen on the other side of Kardashain's tablet and said, "Of course! We're gonna make sure that you're the best lawyer ever." The reality star was getting some help from Lopez through Portal.

The "On the floor" singer then asked Kardashian a legal question -- "if the defendants file a motion, will the court grant it?" The mother of four replied with, "No, because they acted under the authority of the state's statute."

RODRIGUEZ'S INTERRUPTION

After the reality star got the answer right, Lopez attempted to move on to the next question. However, Rodriguez had some other plans for the rest of the day.

He stormed into the room with some sticks in winter gear. He asked the stars if they were still studying. He added, "I thought we were going to make a snowman."

The Hustlers star sent the snowman idea flying after she said, "Babe, I'm just helping Kim with homework." Rodriguez tried again and mentioned that the kids were getting excited about it.

TURNING TO THE ALMOST LAWYER

The former baseball player turned to Kardashian to solve the dispute and said, "Kim! You're a lawyer, well almost. Do something." Kardashian immediately quipped, "I'm not taking this case."

Rodriguez tried to get back and said, "Objection," but the reality star ended the conversation with "Overruled." The commercial ended shortly after with a soft melody.

Although the campaign for Portal has the stars acting like they are close friends, the reality is even better. The reality star and the singer spend loads of time together doing what BFF's do best.

THE LONG TERM FRIENDSHIP

Rodriguez opened up about the relationship between Kardashian and Lopez with "People" and mentioned that the ladies were tight-knit.

"Kim and Jennifer are very, very close, and she's almost like a mentee of Jennifer, and Jennifer has mentored her a lot over the years."

He also mentioned that now, it's more about going back and forth than mentoring. The stars' relationship extends to their families as well. Kardashian and Lopez often spend time with each other's families.

THE MOVIE NIGHT

Kardashian praised Lopez as her idol in a video from 2018. She gushed about Lopez and talked about the influence she had on her life.

"I'm having a movie night at my house. Never in my life would I have imagined that my idol would wanna come have a movie night with me. My inspiration for everything has been Jennifer Lopez."

Of course, the Portal campaign is giving the fans a chance to see the stars spending time together. From secret BFF talks to fitness training, the campaign boasted a series of interesting ideas and it's keeping the fans engaged.
