Tyler Perry Shares His Excitement after Tamron Hall's Talk Show Gets Renewed for a Second Season
Tyler Perry could not contain his excitement a few days ago while reacting to the news that Tamron Hall’s daytime talk show has been renewed for a second season. The filmmaker celebrated with a heartwarming message on social media.
There’s nothing like seeing two trailblazers supporting each other in their endeavors. Perry, 50, led the cheering crowd for Hall last week after news broke that her eponymous show was renewed.

The studio owner took to Instagram with a screenshot of an article about the renewal of Hall’s show published by The Hollywood Reporter. The image also featured a photo of the veteran journalist on the set.
Hall’s success with daytime TV is even more significant because the journey towards it was challenging
“You have no idea how excited I am that @tamronhallshow was renewed for a second season,” Perry gushed in the caption before urging his nearly five million followers to keep watching the show.

Comments trailing Perry’s post proved he is only one out of Hall’s many fans. “Yes, thank you, Jesus. Won't he do it!!!!” one excited Instagram user said.
“Yes, I watch Her Everyday & LOVE Her Show,” chimed in another while a third fan raved: “Yeah, congratulations Sis!!! Love the show!!! So glad to have her show on the air!!! May God continue to bless you!!!”
The news surfaced toward the end of last week that Walt Disney Television had picked up the “Tamron Hall Show” for another season on stations covering 80% of U.S. TV households.
“As one of the highest-rated new talk shows in five years, ‘Tamron Hall’ is connecting with audiences in such a powerful and unique way,” president of ABC Entertainment Karey Burke, told Variety in a statement.
Burke continued:
“We are thrilled to build on that momentum with a second season. Tamron’s authenticity and her stunning ability to engage with viewers is remarkable and we look forward to continued success working with our incredible station partners.”
Announcing the good news via Twitter herself, Hall was filled with gratitude for her fans and viewers, which she fondly calls the “Tam Fam.” “This is an opportunity – we know it’s there – to start the conversation,” she added.
Hall has always been passionate about stirring up conversations with everyday people “in all stages of life.” That was the blueprint for her show, as reiterated in a September interview with Time Magazine.
Hall’s success with daytime TV is even more significant because the journey towards it was challenging. In 2017, she left her co-hosting duties on NBC’s “Today” after her slot was given to Megyn Kelly.
Getting to where she is today was no easy feat, but Hall, 49, recently said her setback turned out to be a setup for something else; guess she was right. Congratulations, Tamron Hall!
