Tisha Campbell Revealed That Her Younger Son Ezekiel Didn't Believe His Mom Is Black
Tisha Campbell reveals her 10-year-old son Ezekiel's doubts about her being African-American in an interesting episode of "The Real."
While guest-hosting "The Real," Tisha Campbell shared a story about the time she explained the history of their ancestors and heritage to her son Ezekiel, and how he began to ask questions.
At first, he asked if his 18-year-old brother Xen was African-American, to which Tisha replied with "Yeah, our whole family. Me too."

HER SON'S SHOCKING RESPONSE
Tisha, Xen, and Ezekiel are doing a lot better nowadays, especially after her gruesome separation from husband Duane Martin.
Shocked by what his mom said, he quickly replied saying "You're not African-American!" Campbell then asked her son why he thought so, and her son said it was because she isn't as black as he is.
MAKING HER SON UNDERSTAND
It turns out, the 10-year-old sees her mom the same way he sees his best friend, as they have blonde hair and blue eyes. However, she tried to make him understand that African-Americans don't always have to look the same.
"We come in an array of colors! But he refused to believe me."
While it took some time for him to understand, he eventually did. However, it remains an interesting story to tell for Tisha.
TISHA CAMPBELL'S ELDEST SON
Tisha Campbell shares two kids with her ex-husband, both of them being eight years apart. Their firstborn, Xen Martin, was diagnosed with autism when he was 18 months old.
It turns out, she was on the set of "My Wife and Kids" when her son's doctor revealed the news to her. At first, she tried to keep her composure, but tears began rolling down her face.
Ultimately, she embraced the diagnosis and accepted Xen's condition. She continued to take care and nurture him through it all.
NOT ACCEPTING THE LABEL
If there's one thing she wasn't going to accept, though, it was the label of being "autistic."
“As a mother of a child who had to go through specific struggles, you want the best for them, but when you get this particular diagnosis you have to retrain your brain to think of your dreams and aspirations when it comes to your child to be a little bit more basic.”
