CICELY TYSON'S LONG AND MEANINGFUL LIFE
Keeping her message short, she greeted "the one and only" Cicely Tyson by sharing a picture of them side-by-side during the Tyler Perry Studios Grand Opening Gala.

People who live 95-years-old often stay at home and enjoy life with their families, but for Cicely Tyson, she's not content by doing just that.
TYSON'S REFUSAL TO RETIRE FROM HOLLYWOOD
She revealed that despite her old age, she still has a lot to give and will not retire for as long as she lives.
"The reason why I have been in this universe as long as I have been is because he’s not ready for me. When I’ve completed my job, he’ll take me away...We have to honor this blessed gift that we have. That’s what keeps you going. Keeps your mind fluid—your heart, your whole being. You can’t just stop, because that will be the end of you."
Amazingly, Tyson has been in the industry for the last seven decades, and she isn't about to stop now. Cicely Tyson just turned another year older, but she still refuses to retire. What keeps her going is that she just keeps working, growing, and learning.
HER STELLAR HOLLYWOOD CAREER
As for her advice to her younger self? She said it would have to be to "follow your own heart and your own desires." Indeed, Cicely Tyson continues to do just that, as at 95-years-old, there's no stopping her.
She earned four Emmy nominations to date, including one for her appearance on "How To Get Away With Murder" playing Ophelia Harkness, among many other accolades she's earned in the past seven decades.
Cicely Tyson starred in classic movies such as "Sounder," "The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman," and now, on "How to Get Away With Murder."
