Porsha Williams’ Partner Dennis McKinley Apologizes to Her Family after Cheating on Her

Dennis McKinley is making amends with his fiancé Porsha Williams’ family after cheating on her while she was pregnant with their first child, Pilar Jhena. The couple recently got re-engaged.

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams is back together with the father of her first child, as she announced last month on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live.”

A BROKEN ENGAGEMENT

The reality star first got engaged to McKinley in September 2018, and they welcomed daughter Pilar Jhena in March 2019. However, when their baby was only 3-month-old, Porsha discovered McKinley had cheated on her.

They split around June, and according to what Williams said on “RHOA,” she returned her oval-shaped diamond ring to McKinley at his own request.

Although the pair kept a friendly co-parenting relationship, it seems like Porsha’s family were not so keen on maintaining a relationship with Dennis.

MAKING AMENDS

However, now that they are back on track, McKinley seems to be making amends by asking his soon-to-be family in law for forgiveness. And he started with Porsha’s look-alike sister, Lauren Williams.

The father of one took to Instagram on January 1st to share a photo hugging his sister-in-law, and added in the caption:

“Ok, let me tell you about the power of forgiveness! When you hurt [people], it’s important to know that you also hurt [people] that love them! [Lauren] unblocked me today BUT Lauren you... first time speaking/hanging in 8/9 months ... apologize to EVERYBODY.”

FANS AND FRIENDS REACT

Fans and friends alike took over the comment section to show their support to McKinley. Porsha, “RHOP” Monique Samuels and Cynthia Bailey's fiancé, Mike Hill, commented:

“You are one in a million. I pray for God's continuous blessing for you and your family,” added one user.

And another pointed out,

“This is how you move forward my brother, own up to your mistakes, and have changed behavior. Wishing you and @porsha4real the best.”

WORKING ON IT

Although the marriage is back on the table—and yes, she has the same ring—Williams told Andy Cohen that she and McKinley hadn’t picked a date yet, but the wedding will be this year.

She also said they are still working together to fix their marriage while working on their trust and doing what’s best for their family.

“We’re working on our family. It takes time,” Williams said. “I love him, and he loves me, and we’re doing what’s best for our family. That’s really all you can do.”
