While it is not sure what their pre-marital years were like, the publication noted that McCain once said in “The View” that she and Ben dated for years before they walked down the aisle.

She also mentioned that Ben met her dad, late Senator John McCain, in a friendly and less intimidating way.

The sweet relationship between Ben and the late senator helped convince Meghan not to elope but have a wedding that her father witnessed, per PEOPLE magazine.

Speaking about how Ben helped her during her father’s health crisis, Meghan said:

“There was something about Ben being there for me, at my father’s treatments. I was like, ‘This is love.’ I felt this overwhelming sense of time and my own mortality.”

While it is not sure of Ben meant it as a cryptic message or a literal one, many internet users have used the comment to judge the couple’s relationship.

Nevertheless, The Blast suggests that since neither Meghan or Ben have addressed the tweet, it might have been Ben’s way of poking fun at his future wife.

According to reports, Ben and Meghan have not kids of their own, as they recently suffered a miscarriage.

Nevertheless, they remain strong and resolute in facing life, standing by each other’s sides.
