Meghan McCain showed off her doting side as she paid a touching tribute to her husband, Ben Domenech, as he turned 38.

While most people view Meghan McCain as a tough woman who never fails to make her voice heard on “The View,” the talk show host recently proved that there is more to her.

Meghan showed off her affectionate side on New Year’s Day as she celebrated her husband Ben Domenech’s 38th birthday.

McCain took to her Instagram to share a sweet selfie of her and Ben with a touching that caption that read:

“Happy birthday, baby. My wild, rebel heart partner in this life and the next. I love you more than I ever thought was possible.”

She ended the sweet message by praising Ben for his “intensity, grit, passion and conviction.” Many of the television personality’s fans took to the comments section to gush about how cute the couple looked.

As revealed by Good HouseKeeping, Ben and Meghan got engaged in November 2017. The intimate ceremony took place at McCain’s family lodge in Sedona, Arizona, right before sunset.

While it is not sure what their pre-marital years were like, the publication noted that McCain once said in “The View” that she and Ben dated for years before they walked down the aisle.

She also mentioned that Ben met her dad, late Senator John McCain, in a friendly and less intimidating way.

The sweet relationship between Ben and the late senator helped convince Meghan not to elope but have a wedding that her father witnessed, per PEOPLE magazine.

Speaking about how Ben helped her during her father’s health crisis, Meghan said:

“There was something about Ben being there for me, at my father’s treatments. I was like, ‘This is love.’ I felt this overwhelming sense of time and my own mortality.”

While it seems as though Meghan and Ben have the perfect love story, CheatSheet notes that Domenech stated in 2012 in a now-deleted tweet that he did not want to date McCain.

While it is not sure of Ben meant it as a cryptic message or a literal one, many internet users have used the comment to judge the couple’s relationship.

Nevertheless, The Blast suggests that since neither Meghan or Ben have addressed the tweet, it might have been Ben’s way of poking fun at his future wife.

According to reports, Ben and Meghan have not kids of their own, as they recently suffered a miscarriage.
