Famous for her role in Tyler Perry’s “House Of Payne," Dimitria Mckinney has gradually risen to the top, landing major ground-breaking roles in the movie industry.

In a recent Instagram post, the 41-year-old actress gave fans a sneak peek into her new role as Anacostia in the upcoming drama series, “Motherland: Fort Salem,” capturing hearts in her over-the top-ensemble.

The pictures, which were taken during the official photoshoot of the upcoming television series portrayed the ageless actress in a new light while announcing the film’s premiere via her caption,

The icon got into character, looking the part of the drill sergeant, Anacostia, in oversized pink suit worn over lacy chemise. The dressing was completed with a pair of gold stilettos and the perfect makeover.

Dimitria began her acting career in her late twenties, with her role as Janine Payne on “House Of Payne,” which earned her a NAMIC Vision Award nomination for Best performance in a comedy.

Despite her efforts in the industry, with new acts on the way, the icon never fails to put family first.

Having gotten a nod for her first film, the talented beauty soon became a household name, earning her more big roles. She also pursued her music career, with releases like her first EP, “OfficiallyYours.”

During a sit down with "Hype Hair," the 41-year-old divulged details about her career, including music and recent movie roles. When asked about the inspiration behind her 2017 EP, the singer revealed:

“My Life Challenges. This album is really a soundtrack to my life.”

This is not the first time the actress would divulge details about the upcoming drama series, “Motherland: Fort Salem.”

Last July, the movie star granted an interview with "LA Sentinel," where she revealed she was in Canada for the shoot of the ABC free form.

She went on to share details of the movie, including the identities of the other casts, the film’s plot, as well as her role as the drill sergeant, Anacostia. With so much hype about the series from Dimitria, March 18th seems not too faraway.
