Thompson said the idea of going through surgery for beauty's sake is not normal. For her, beauty enhancements, like botox, is 'psychotic' and that getting these is making a mad decision, as reported by Hello! Magazine.

"It's not a normal thing to do, and the culture that we've created that says it's normal, is not normal," she said.

UNHEALTHY "SUPER-CULTURE"

Thompson's statement came just before the release of her film, "The Love Punch." The movie, released in 2013, has a comedic touch.

The 55-year-old actress also wondered why most people would go under the knife in exchange for artificial beauty. Thompson was concerned since there can be serious effects when a person puts something inside their bodies.

"It's chronically unhealthy and there's this very serious side to all of that because we're going to end up with this sort of 'super-culture' that's going to suggest to young people, girls, and boys, that this looks normal," she explained.
